Email newsletters -- a thing of the past?
It’s a new decade. We know everyone is talking about Twitter, but we still believe in the power of email marketing.
Here’s a post by our friend, Neil Tortorella, on Freelance Switch that supports that idea -- do you agree or disagree?
Check it out here: http://freelanceswitch.com/the-business-of-freelancing/email-marketing-for-freelancers/

Even with as busy as society is, your clients do still have a curosity about you and what you're doing. The newsletter fulfills that, and even if they don't respond I guarantee they were happy to feel updated on life/business/promotions/etc. I like the newsletters and agree with what he said EXCEPT for the part about not using spam words. Every email I get from Barnes and Noble says "This week... blah blah blah... discounts... coupons.." etc. I'm sure they hired someone to research subject lines and opening rates. Maybe not?
