Last Valentine's day, I sent my top clients hand-stamped cards telling them that "I loved having them as a client" and enclosed 3 heart shaped Dove chocolates. They loved them. :-)

An event or gesture marking an off-beat holiday can also get you and your business media attention with a clever pitch. Linking your "news" to a holiday observance, awareness or theme day or month (traditional or not) is a time-honored tactic.

It's excellent that Compliment Day even exists.
And I have a dish of "Lucky Penny"s right here - I may send some out in advance of May 23rd.
Thanks for the unusual thought! I stopped giving clients Christmas gifts a few years ago - but maybe I'll get back in the game next year with the Pennies!
