The Ultimate Freelancer

We are currently in the planning stages of the Second Annual Creative Freelancer Conference. For those of you who haven’t heard about this event, it’s a one-of-a-kind business conference for creative freelancers who want to grow their business. It’s slated for August 26-28 in San Diego and the Marketing Mentor team will be there!

As we are looking at topic and ideas on what to bring to this event I have been researching successful freelancers out there. What I am looking for is examples of “The Ultimate Freelancer”. Someone who is running a one-person creative business and doing it well. Someone who is making a great living, has a balanced life and produces exceptional work. I have some ideas in mind but would love to hear from you out there too. Can you think of anyone that fits this description? Leave a comment here or email me direct.

Hi Peleg, here in Kansas City we have a non-profit organization called The Freelance Exchange. Over 140 members, freelancing exclusively in the marketing and advertising industry. I know of several in this group that would fit your profile of "The Ultimate Freelancer". Check out the website here to get an idea of what we're all about. http://www.kcfreelanceexchange.com. The founder of the Freelance Exchange might be a good fit as a speaker at the conference. Email me if you have any questions. THANKS!

I can't believe this, I had to do a double take. I was unable to go to last year's event but now it's coming to me! I'm a creative freelancer in San Diego and I'm ecstatic about this, seriously I would be typing in all caps bold but that's a designer's faux pas. I will however include a woo hoo for the record.

excited in San Diego

p.s. please let me know if I can help out locally in any way

Personally, I'd nominate myself, although I constantly wonder whether I'm actually balancing it all. I have managed to make my workouts a priority, though - and I'm still getting all my work done! So, yeah - I'll nominate myself.

Is this open to all kind of business? I am interested with it. I wonder if this would be applicable in my business. Thanks for the post.
