Designer in NYC? Check out Spark's bootcamp

One month into the new year and looking for a way to juice things up a little? If you're local to New York (or within commutable distance) you might want to check out the intensive workshop being offered by Spark, the designers' group in New York:

Saturday February 23rd
Spark Boot Camp For Graphic Design Firms

Where: NY Designs 45-50 30th Street
(Between Thomson Ave. and 47th Ave.) Long Island City, NY
Time: 10 am - 3 pm
Cost: $50 per person, includes boxed lunch

Get a head start on your 2008 resolutions with the following 3 segments:

10 am -  11:15 am 
Marc S Levitt and Sheri L Koetting of MSLK will walk you through how to plan a marketing calendar for your design firm along with tips for how to maximize a minimal marketing budget.

11:15  pm  -  12:30 pm
Howard Levy of Red Rooster Group will show you how to write proposals that seal the deal and negotiate the fee that you are worth.

12:30 pm - 1:00 pm
Onsite lunch and networking. A boxed lunch will be provided.

1:00 pm  -  2:15 pm 
Creative Services Consultant, Shelia Doyle of Langton Cherubino Group will show you tools for profitable design project management including: planning for profit, proposals as a guide and keeping within budget, utilizing the creative brief as a focusing tool for clients and creatives, time tracking, project meeting management,  quality control methods, and tracking client revisions.
